About The Position

Develops, implements, evaluates and revises a plan of care of assigned patients and families while promoting the mission and values of CORALVITA Healthcare. The provision of care includes direct care along with the delegation and supervision of all nursing care in accordance with the applicable Nurse Practice Act. Works in a charge nurse capacity as assigned based on patient and hospital need. Specific components of the Registered Nurse role include demonstrating clinical competence; managing patient care; improving quality of care; establishing professional relationships and utilizing professional skills; fulfilling responsibilities of the role of the hospital; and developing clinical expertise per specialty.

Requirements

  • Current, valid, and active license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of employment required.
  • Current BLS certification from a CORALVITA-approved vendor required.
  • Current ACLS certification from a CORALVITA-approved vendor required within six (6) months of hire.
  • Ability to project a professional image.
  • Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements.
  • Strong organizational, prioritizing and analytical skills.
  • Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.
  • Working knowledge of computer and software applications used in job functions.
  • Freedom from illegal use of and effects of use of drugs and alcohol in the workplace.
  • English is the primary language of the facility.
  • Ability to read and write, communicate clearly with co-workers and customers and to respond to appropriate questions regarding work process or work product.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instruction furnished in written, oral and/or diagram form.
  • Ability to define and solve problems and collect data.
  • Ability to identify and implement components of the nursing process.
  • Identify learning needs and teach patients and families.

  • Ensures medical treatment regimen is completed, supplies are ordered, and physician orders are transcribed.
  • Performs and documents wound care.
  • Delivers respiratory care as appropriate.
  • Observes patient daily for skin integrity and lesions.
  • Adheres to the implementation, compliance, and monitoring of the Infection Control Program.
  • Coordinates the delivery of nursing care through the utilization of the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation of the individual patient.
  • Coordinates nursing unit activities related to patient care during assigned Charge shifts.
  • Remains current with literature related to departments for which responsible.
  • Maintains an updated methodology, tools, manuals and criteria as necessary and appropriate.
  • Maintains excellent working relationship with the medical professional and other health related facilities and organizations.
  • Promotes Company philosophy, mission and objectives.
  • Demonstrates ability to prioritize tasks/responsibilities and complete duties within allotted time.
