About The Position

This Registered Nurse (PRN) opportunity is on the Behavioral Health (BH) unit at Texas NeuroRehab Center. New graduates are welcome to apply. Texas NeuroRehab Center is a specialized treatment facility located ten minutes from downtown Austin on 67 wooded acres. It has operated as a medical rehabilitation and behavioral healthcare facility for over 80 years, providing complex medical and brain and spinal cord injury rehabilitation for ages 13 years and older, and neuropsychiatric treatment for youth. The facility offers integrated and specialized care for children, adolescents, and adults facing difficult challenges, and is internationally known for improving the quality of life for many. Requirements

  • Knowledge of appropriate nursing assessment, diagnoses, & interventions with patients.
  • Knowledge of milieu management.
  • Ability to direct subordinates in the performance of their duties.
  • Ability to accurately administer medication and monitor side-effects.
  • Ability to develop therapeutic relationships with patients and families.
  • Skill in preparing and maintaining appropriate medical record documentation.
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Bachelor degree in nursing.
  • Current Driver’s License or State issued Id.
  • Current State of Texas Board of Nurse Examiners.
  • Current CPR certification.
