About The Position

Utilizes the nursing process as the frame of reference for practice as a professional registered nurse and provides direct nursing care to patients and families. Klarman 10 has 32 private, family-friendly rooms. This inpatient surgical floor has telemetry and intermediate care beds. Primary patient populations are Vascular Surgery; Pancreatic Surgery; Bariatric Surgery. Fostering a dynamic team environment and collaborating to address complex patient needs from our unit-based educators, clinical nurse specialists, rehabilitative support staff, and physician providers are the key to our success. Our team takes great pride in providing kind and compassionate care not only to our patients but in caring for one another. We seek candidates interested in advancing their nursing practice and learning alongside outstanding clinical mentors but also wanting to be part of a team. As a multidisciplinary unit within a major academic medical center, extensive training is provided to our nurses to increase their skills via a phased approach.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program required.
1-3 years related work experience required.
License Registered Nurse required.
American Heart Association – Basic Life support Certificate required.

Nice To Haves

Baccalaureate degree in Nursing strongly preferred.
