About The Position

MultiCare is seeking a staff Registered Nurse to join its hospital-based Birth Center team at Good Samaritan Hospital. The role uses specialized nursing knowledge and training to provide patient care through a multidisciplinary approach. Nurses organize, deliver, and evaluate care while contributing to clinical decision-making, quality improvement, patient experience, and cost reduction. The position is based at a 388-bed acute-care hospital serving Puyallup and East Pierce County, with a Family Birth Center and other specialized services.

Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington State or Multistate License endorsement (MLS).
• Current BLS Certification.
• ACLS, NALS, PALS, TNCC, or NRP certification, as required by the facility or department.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN).
• Certification in a specialty area.
• One year of experience in an acute care setting.

Responsibilities

• Organize patient care by prioritizing, delegating, delivering, and evaluating it on an ongoing basis.
• Use nursing education and experience to deliver care through the nursing process, following hospital policies, procedures, and protocols.
• Collaborate with the nursing team to improve quality of care and patient experience and reduce costs.
• Foster a learning environment for patients and families, nursing staff, and members of the health care team.
• Advocate for ethical and holistic care that promotes the autonomy, dignity, and health of patients from diverse ethnic and social backgrounds.
