About The Position

MultiCare is seeking a staff Registered Nurse to join its hospital-based Family Birth Center team at Good Samaritan Hospital. The RN will provide specialized nursing care using a multidisciplinary approach and the nursing process, in accordance with hospital policies, procedures, and protocols. The role is part of a nursing organization focused on clinical decision-making, communication, professional development, and quality patient care. The position is 0.9 FTE and works 12-hour night shifts.

Requirements

• Current Washington State Registered Nurse (RN) license or Multistate License endorsement (MLS).
• Current BLS certification.
• One year of experience in an acute care setting is preferred.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
• Certification in a specialty area.
• One year of experience in an acute care setting.

Responsibilities

• Organize patient care by prioritizing, delegating, delivering, and evaluating care on an ongoing basis.
• Apply nursing education and experience to deliver care using the nursing process and hospital policies, procedures, and protocols.
• Collaborate with the nursing team to improve quality of care and patient experience and reduce costs.
• Foster a learning environment for patients and families, nursing staff, and other members of the health care team.
• Advocate for ethical, holistic care that promotes patient autonomy, dignity, and health across diverse ethnic and social backgrounds.
