About The Position

Sentara Williamsburg Regional Medical Center is seeking a Part-Time Registered Nurse for their Outpatient Infusion Center. This position involves two 9-hour shifts per week (7:30 AM - 4:30 PM) with a weekend rotation every 6-7 weeks and a holiday rotation of one day. The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for performing a competent level of nursing care using the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, coordination of care, teaching, health promotion, and evaluation. Professional performance standards encompass ethics, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence-based practice, quality, evaluation, resource utilization, and environmental health. The RN must possess clinical knowledge and skills to meet specific clinical area standards. This role offers opportunities for career growth in various specialties, leadership, or advancement of care levels. Primary duties include assessing/admitting patients, rounding checks, administering medications, communicating with family members, and overall patient care. Requirements

  • Recent, direct patient care RN experience REQUIRED.
  • RN Degree: RN Diploma, ADN, BSN or MSN.
  • RN License valid to work in the State of Virginia.
  • BLS within 90 days of hire.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with central lines STRONGLY preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Performing a competent level of nursing care as demonstrated by the critical thinking model known as the nursing process.
