PER DIEM NIGHT SHIFT RN - Emergency Department - Allenmore Hospital
About The Position
MultiCare is seeking a staff Registered Nurse to join the hospital-based Emergency Department team at Allenmore Hospital. The RN uses specialized training and knowledge to provide nursing care through a multidisciplinary approach. Nurses at MultiCare participate in clinical decision-making, communicate with colleagues, receive professional development support, and contribute to the future of nursing. The position is per diem, with a 0.01 FTE, working night shifts in 12-hour shifts and alternating weekends. The Emergency Department requires at least one year of emergency nursing experience. New graduate RNs and RNs without ED experience are directed to residency or fellowship opportunities.
Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington State or Multistate License endorsement (MLS).
- Current BLS certification.
- At least one year of Emergency nursing experience is required for the department.
- ACLS, NALS, PALS, TNCC, or NRP certification, as required by the facility or department.
- Active BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications are specified in the department-specific requirements.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Certification in a specialty area preferred.
- One year of experience in an acute care setting preferred.
Responsibilities
- Organize patient care by prioritizing, delegating, delivering, and evaluating care on an ongoing basis.
- Use nursing education and experience to deliver care through the nursing process and in accordance with hospital policies, procedures, and protocols.
- Collaborate with the nursing team to improve quality of care, patient experience, and cost reduction.
- Foster a learning environment for patients and families, nursing staff, and members of the health care team.
- Advocate for ethical and holistic care that promotes the autonomy, dignity, and health of patients from diverse ethnic and social backgrounds.
