RN - Registered Nurse - Outpatient OR - Days
About The Position
The Registered Nurse will deliver professional nursing care in the operative setting to patients undergoing surgical or other invasive procedures. This role involves performing scrub functions, including the selection and handling of instruments and supplies, as well as circulating functions such as monitoring, recording, and communicating patient condition. The nurse will manage the overall nursing care of the patient before, during, and after the procedure, and directly assist the operating physician with surgical tasks like hemostasis, suturing, and wound exposure, as well as patient positioning. Additionally, the role includes preparing operating rooms, surgical instruments, and equipment for use.
Requirements
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- Licensed Associate Professional Registered Nurse credentialed from the Alabama Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
- Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing AND professional licensure at time of hire required.
