About The Position
The Registered Nurse (RN) provides direct clinical patient care and is responsible for assessing, planning, and implementing care for assigned patients on a per-shift and unit-level basis. The role includes supervising staff to whom care is delegated and supporting the CNO in ensuring high-quality, safe, appropriate nursing care, clinical staff competency, and effective resource management related to patient care. The position is with Saint Vincent Hospital and focuses on behavioral health.
Requirements
- Graduated from a state-approved or accredited school of nursing.
- Currently licensed, certified, or registered to practice the profession as required by law, regulation in the state of practice, or policy.
- CPR.

- Academic degree in nursing, such as a bachelor's or master's degree.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, safe, cost-effective, comprehensive nursing care to patients.
- Coordinate and integrate patient care using the nursing process.
- Direct care according to established safety, risk management, quality improvement, and infection control standards, with the goal of discharging patients after providing an optimum level of care.
- Coordinate and plan patient care within the prescribed medical regime.
- Fulfill HICS responsibilities, assignments, tasks, and roles as directed and needed during emergencies or disasters.
- Know the Hospital’s emergency codes, their purposes, and appropriate actions, and follow related Hospital policies and procedures.
- Supervise staff to whom appropriate care is delegated.
- Perform related duties as required.
