About The Position

Provide, promote, and maintain quality patient care during diagnostic and therapeutic imaging procedures through education, standards of practice, professional growth, and collaboration with multidisciplinary health care providers. The role emphasizes clear, respectful communication with patients and families, involvement in care planning, and proficient patient interventions appropriate to the population served.

Requirements

• Associate degree in Nursing.
• Previous clinical experience will be reviewed to determine whether it is acceptable.
• Valid permanent multistate RN license from the state in which the candidate resides. Nurses holding an RN license from another Compact state must apply for and obtain a multistate RN license from their state of residence within 30 days.
• American Heart Association BLS CPR certification, to be obtained within 7 days of hire.
• CPI certification within orientation.

Nice To Haves

• Psychiatric/mental health nursing experience.
• RN-C certification.

Responsibilities

• Use AIDET communication principles during patient and family interactions to promote trust, understanding, and engagement.
• Participate in bedside handoff using SBAR to involve patients and families in the plan of care whenever appropriate.
• Communicate proactively with patients and families about delays, procedures, and changes in the plan of care, setting clear expectations and providing timely updates.
• Use Teach Back to confirm patient and family understanding of medications, treatments, discharge instructions, and follow-up care.
• Perform patient interventions completely and proficiently, demonstrating age-specific competency for the patient population served.
• Perform related duties as required.
