About The Position

The Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse at Hillcrest Medical Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma, is accountable for assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, and documenting care in accordance with HHS standards to deliver efficient, effective, quality patient care. The nurse must provide care appropriate to the ages and developmental needs of patients on the assigned unit, assess patient data, interpret information, and identify age-specific care requirements. The position includes developing, modifying, and implementing plans of care in accordance with HHS standards and Patient Care policies and procedures. The nurse must adhere to the rules and regulations of the Oklahoma Nursing Practice Act. Hillcrest Medical Center is a 656-bed hospital with The Alexander Burn Center, The Peggy V. Helmerich Women’s Health Center, Kaiser Rehabilitation Center, cancer treatment technology, and the Oklahoma Heart Institute.

Requirements

Associate's degree in nursing (ADN).
Current Oklahoma RN License.
BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and before providing direct patient care.
Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) must be completed within 6 months of the RN hire or transfer date.

Responsibilities

Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document patient care in accordance with HHS standards.
Provide care appropriate to the ages and developmental needs of patients served on the assigned unit.
Assess patient status data and interpret information to identify each patient's age-specific care requirements.
Develop, modify, and implement patient care plans in accordance with HHS standards and Patient Care policies and procedures.
Adhere to the rules and regulations of the Oklahoma Nursing Practice Act.
