About The Position

Highpoint Health Sumner is hiring a full-time Registered Nurse for its Critical Care Unit (CCU), working nights. The RN provides direct patient care in the Intensive Care Unit using the nursing process and in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice. The position serves patients from neonates through older adults and reports to the Director or Manager of the Department. The role includes occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens and regular exposure to biological and chemical hazards, including blood and bodily fluids, hazardous medications, and latex. Frequent standing, walking, lifting or moving patients, and repetitive hand and arm movements are required.

Requirements

• Associate’s Degree in Nursing required.
• Current RN license in the state of practice.
• BLS certification required.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred.
• ACLS certification preferred.
• PALS certification preferred.
• Handle with Care certification preferred.

Responsibilities
