About The Position

Highpoint Health Sumner is seeking a full-time, night-shift Registered Nurse for its Critical Care Unit. The RN provides direct patient care in the Intensive Care Unit using the nursing process and in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice. The role serves patients from neonates through older adults and reports to the Director or Manager of the Department. The position involves access to demographic, clinical, insurance, financial, and complete medical record information. Occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens is present.

Requirements

Associate’s Degree in Nursing required.
Current RN license in the state of practice.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred.
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification preferred.
Handle with Care certification preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care in the Intensive Care Unit using the nursing process.
