About The Position

Central Carolina Hospital is hiring a Registered Nurse for its Emergency Department, a rural, 20-bed unit focused on patient-centered care in a friendly, team-oriented environment. The department emphasizes teamwork, quality outcomes, and work/life balance, and offers self-scheduling. The nurse will provide care tailored to each patient's condition and age, identify needs, initiate interventions, document medical necessity, and maintain the Interdisciplinary Care Plan.

The position is scheduled 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., three 12-hour shifts per week, with rotating weekends. A commitment bonus is available: $20,000 for experienced RNs and $10,000 for new graduate RNs. Central Carolina Hospital is part of Lifepoint Health.

Requirements

• Current North Carolina state or compact state RN license.
• Basic Life Support certification required within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS certification required within 90 days of hire.
• Associate's degree in nursing required.
• At least 1 year of Emergency Room nursing experience.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Accurately perform patient assessments and identify patient needs.
• Identify and initiate appropriate nursing interventions.
• Provide care appropriate to the patient's condition and age.
• Complete timely and appropriate medical-necessity documentation in the medical record.
• Complete and revise the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient.
