About The Position

Registered Nurse position in the surgery department. The role includes work across Pre/Post-op, circulating, PACU, and Endo, and may float between units. Specialties include OBGYN, orthopedics, GI, ENT, pain, and dental. The standard schedule is five days per week, with eight-hour shifts; four days per week with ten-hour shifts may be possible. The position requires variable on-call coverage on weekends and nights, eight shifts per month. Weekend work is required every third or fourth weekend, depending on rotation and time-off requests. Patient ratios are 1:1, 1:2, or 1:4. Epic is the EMR.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse role.
• Ability to work across the surgery department areas: Pre/Post-op, circulating, PACU, and Endo.
• Ability to use Epic EMR.
• Availability for required weekend rotation and variable weekend and night call.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care across Pre/Post-op, circulating, PACU, and Endo.
• Work in the surgery department across specialties including OBGYN, orthopedics, GI, ENT, pain, and dental.
• Float between units as needed.
• Participate in variable weekend and night on-call coverage, eight shifts per month.
• Work weekends every third or fourth weekend according to rotation and time-off requests.
