About The Position

The Registered Nurse is a professional caregiver and member of a multidisciplinary health care team. The RN assumes responsibility and accountability for a group of patients during a designated time frame and supervises and provides patient care using the nursing process, including the therapeutic use of self.

The RN follows established policies and procedures, communicates openly with internal customers and supervisors, provides excellent customer service while working with staff, management, and physicians, and applies Cooper core values. Other duties may be required.

The Operating Room team works in a fast-paced, high-tech surgical environment at Cooper’s Camden Campus, which has 30 operating rooms and performs more than 70 surgeries each day. Weekend, holiday, and call rotations are required.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of operating room circulating or scrub experience, or successful completion of Periop 101.
• Graduate of an NLN-accredited School of Nursing.
• Current New Jersey Registered Nurse (NJ-RN) license.
• Current New Jersey Basic Life Support (NJ-BLS) certification.
• Availability for weekend, holiday, and call rotations.

Nice To Haves

• Current NJ-CNOR (Certified Nurse, Operating Room) certification.
