About The Position

Reporting to the Urban Primary Health Care Manager, the Registered Nurse is an integral member of the primary health care team, providing and coordinating initial, continuing and comprehensive nursing services to patients in the PHC sites. This Registered Nurse promotes quality health care outcomes working within established standards for case management practice. The Registered Nurse initiates and/or participates in community development initiatives and participates in the evaluation of Primary Health Care initiatives within the site. Home base for this position is: 2180 23rd Avenue (WRC). Requirements

  • Current registration with CRNS and current BCLS certification.
  • Graduate from an approved School of Nursing
  • Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license

  • Basic Cardiac Life Support Certificate (BCLS)
  • Nursing diploma is acceptable
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and have a vehicle available for work.
  • Registered/eligible with the College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan (CRNS)
  • Two years of recent nursing experience in a community based setting is required

  • Experience in teaching adults, facilitation skills, and leading group activities
  • Experience in case management is an asset
  • Community nursing experience is an asset
