RN - Planned Surgical - Harborview (90% FTE, Night Shift)
About The Position
Harborview Medical Center is hiring a Registered Nurse for its 4MB Planned Surgical unit, a 20-bed inpatient acute care unit with telemetry monitoring capability. The unit specializes in planned spine surgery and other planned surgical cases and integrates virtual care initiatives using current technologies. The new unit opened in Spring 2025. This position is based at Harborview Medical Center’s campus in Seattle’s First Hill neighborhood and is a 90% FTE regular position, working 36 hours per week on the night shift from 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. The role is part of a supportive, collaborative healthcare team in a high-acuity academic medical center. Harborview offers nurse educators, preceptors, professional development and continuing education opportunities, including UW’s tuition exemption program and scholarships. Compensation is $46.97–$87.02 per hour, with additional premiums listed for qualifying degrees, specialty certifications, night shifts, and weekend shifts, as well as overtime pay. Requirements
- Acute care nursing experience.
- Washington State RN license.
- Two to three years of current or recent acute care/medical-surgical nursing experience.
- Demonstrated skill and preference for adult education, such as precepting or unit-based skills education.
