About The Position

UW Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for its Pre/Post/PACU team at East Madison Hospital in Madison, Wisconsin. The nurse provides care for adolescent, adult, and geriatric perioperative patients and their families, and evaluates patient responses to care to determine the effectiveness of nursing interventions in relation to established goals. The position is 100% FTE, with 8- or 12-hour evening/night shifts, Monday through Friday, and no on-call responsibilities. Hours may vary based on departmental operational needs.

Requirements

• Associate's Degree in Nursing.
• At least 6 months of current surgical general care or emergency department experience.
• Registration as a professional nurse in the State of Wisconsin upon hire.
• CPR certification upon hire.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
• At least 2 years of current independent PACU, critical care, or ICU experience.
• ACLS certification.
• PALS certification.
