About The Position
The Registered Nurse (RN) provides comprehensive nursing care using the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care. Under the direction of the Director and Charge Nurse, the RN delivers safe, patient-centered care and collaborates with the healthcare team to achieve optimal patient outcomes. The position is in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and is listed as variable schedule, PRN. UF Health Spanish Plaines Hospital is part of the UF Health network. Its physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams work collaboratively to provide high-quality, compassionate care and support professional growth and development.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Current Florida Registered Nurse (RN) License.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certification.
- NIH Stroke Scale Certification (NIHSS).
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
- Commitment to providing compassionate, high-quality patient care.
Nice To Haves
- Minimum of one year of Critical Care nursing experience.
- Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized plans of care.
- Use clinical judgment to identify nursing diagnoses and implement appropriate interventions.
- Monitor, evaluate, and document patient responses to treatment and nursing care.
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care.
- Educate patients and families about treatment plans, medications, and discharge needs.
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies, regulatory requirements, and professional nursing standards.
