About The Position
Winchester Hospital is a 183-bed regional hospital and part of Beth Israel Lahey Health. The Registered Nurse will join the Med/Surg Oncology Intensive Care Unit (ICU) team and provide patient care, including assessments, medications and treatments, monitoring progress, and evaluating therapies. The nurse will collaborate with physicians and other medical professionals on care plans and support and educate patients and their loved ones.
Requirements
- Graduate of a state-approved and/or accredited RN program.
- Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
- BLS certification within 90 days of hire.
- ACLS certification within 1 year of hire.
Nice To Haves
- BSN strongly encouraged.
- Work experience in the unit-specific specialty preferred.
Responsibilities
- Complete patient assessments, administer medications and treatments, observe patient progress, and evaluate therapies for clinical outcomes and effectiveness.
- Collaborate with physicians and other medical professionals to develop an optimal health care strategy plan for each patient.
- Support and educate patients and their loved ones to achieve maximum outcomes.
