About The Position
The Registered Nurse provides and manages patient care in an acute care neurology/neurosurgery setting, using the Nursing Process from admission through discharge and accounting for the developmental age of the patient population. The role includes assessing and reassessing patients, developing and coordinating individualized care plans and discharge planning, and directing, supervising, coordinating, and evaluating nursing care within the assigned clinical setting. The nurse delegates appropriately according to others’ job descriptions and competency levels. This is a 24-hour-per-week night-shift position, scheduled 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m., with work every third weekend and every third holiday. The position is non-exempt and represented by the Massachusetts Nurses Association. The stated hiring range is $37.51–$81.95 based on a full-time 40-hour schedule; compensation is prorated for part-time or reduced schedules and varies with experience, skills, qualifications, and internal equity. A signing bonus may be available, with eligibility confirmed during the interview process.
Requirements
- Current Massachusetts nursing licensure and registration.
- Current BLS certification, unless current ACLS certification is held; unit-specific certifications and competencies may also be required.
- Thorough knowledge of the discipline of Nursing.

- Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing is highly preferred.
