Registered Nurse (RN) - ICU
About The Position
Huntington Beach Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide safe patient care in the ICU. The nurse uses the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to provide direct care within the scope of practice. The role includes guiding patient and family teaching and the activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining ICU standards of care. The Registered Nurse is accountable for care delivered to assigned patients and communicates with physicians about changes in clinical condition, hemodynamic monitoring, diagnostic study results, abnormal findings, and symptoms. The nurse must respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition or response to treatment and maintain patient privacy and confidentiality. Huntington Beach Hospital is a 131-bed acute-care community hospital and a member of the Prime Healthcare Foundation. It is fully accredited by The Joint Commission and serves Huntington Beach and the surrounding area.
Requirements
- Current and valid state RN license.
- Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
- Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
- Current ACLS certificate within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
- Minimum of one year as a staff RN in an acute-care hospital.
Nice To Haves
- Completion of a Critical Care Course.
- Critical Care RN (CCRN) certification.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- Critical care experience.
Responsibilities
- Deliver safe patient care using assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
