About The Position

BrightStar Care is hiring a part-time Registered Nurse for home care in Manatee County and North Sarasota. The position is 20 hours per week and offers a flexible schedule, including weekend and evening opportunities. The nurse provides care based on personalized plans of care, monitors clients’ conditions, and keeps appropriate personnel and family members informed. Requirements

• Current unrestricted RN license in the state where care is provided.
• Certified CPR and a negative TB skin test or chest x-ray.
• Licensed driver with valid automobile insurance.
• Must be able to stand, walk, squat, bend, kneel, reach, twist, push, and pull; assistance varies depending on client mobility.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

• At least one year of documented experience in a home health agency, primary care clinic, or health facility is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide thoughtful care to clients and patients based on personalized plans of care.
• Monitor and track changes in clients’ or patients’ conditions and needs, and keep the Director of Nursing and other appropriate personnel informed.
• Proactively update clients’ or patients’ families on plans of care, health changes, and concerns.
