Registered Nurse - Full time Nights
About The Position
As a Registered Nurse (RN), you provide patient care through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Under the supervision of Charge Nurse(s), you provide patient education and activities in accordance with your competencies and education. The role calls for excellent communication and critical-thinking skills to support optimal patient outcomes. This full-time position is with the clinical team at Macomb County Jail. The schedule is 7 p.m. to 7:30 a.m., including every other weekend. Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
- Maintain current Registered Nurse licensure in the state of employment.
- Obtain and maintain CPR certification.
- Reside in the United States.
Nice To Haves
- A minimum of one year of clinic experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assist in assessing and planning individual treatment programs, consulting with Charge Nurse(s) and other staff as needed.
- Implement medical plans by administering medications, obtaining diagnostic tests, and assisting with medical or minor surgical procedures as needed.
- Count controlled substances and carry out clinical and technical aspects of care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols.
- Document nursing encounters using SOAP charting as required by policy.
- Attend mandatory staff meetings and training.
- Communicate information to nursing staff, physicians, health care unit supervisory personnel, and other staff as needed.
- Provide patient education and activities in accordance with competencies and education.
