About The Position

The Registered Nurse (RN) will float between various CPG Clinics including Family Practice, Surgery, Pain, Pediatrics, Infectious Disease, Acute Care Walk In, and Rheumatology. The major responsibility is to assist physicians with patients, which includes greeting, escorting patients to exam rooms, taking vitals, height, weight, and histories, updating medications, developing and maintaining patient education materials, preparing patient equipment and medication prescriptions for the Physician, phoning in prescription refills with Physician’s approval, charting, preparing informed consent forms for invasive procedures, calling physician orders to other health provider agencies (e.g., home health, nursing home, therapists), securing x-ray films and preparing labs for the doctors, ordering clinical supplies, cleaning exam rooms, maintaining instruments, removing outdated medications, and administering vaccinations. This role will also involve filling in for scribe functions, occasionally patient check-in, and answering the phone. The position is full-time (1.0 FTE) with 8-hour shifts, starting at 0800, Monday-Friday, with some weekend coverage required at FirstCare clinics.

Requirements

  • Current state RN license
  • Associate’s degree from an accredited nursing school
  • BLS for Healthcare Provider upon hire
  • One (1) year of outpatient physician services (office nursing) experience

Responsibilities

  • Remove outdated medications and administer vaccinations.
  • Fill in for scribe functions.
  • Perform occasional patient check-in and answer the phone.
  • Float between various CPG Clinics.
