Registered Nurse for Home Health
About The Position
AdvisaCare is looking for a few good RNs to provide intermittent Skilled Nursing services for Medicare Beneficiaries in their homes, usually after an in-patient stay for illness or surgery. The role involves helping patients recover their independence, educating them about their disease process, dressing wounds, drawing blood, and managing drains, catheters, PICCs, or ostomies. Responsibilities also include evaluating patient knowledge of home safety, medication management, and disease management, determining needs from community resources, setting up in-home therapists, and coordinating care between physicians, other providers, caregivers, and family members.
Requirements
- Michigan RN License
- Michigan Driver's license and proof of insurance
- CPR
- Critical Thinking and Task Skills Necessary
- Computer Skills a Must
Nice To Haves
- 1 year Home Health Experience
- ER or Critical Care Experience a Plus
- OASIS Experience Preferred
