CCP specializes in providing comprehensive cardiology care and currently has over 30 locations throughout the Philadelphia region. We are currently hiring for a Per Diem Registered Nurse. The Registered Nurse (RN) will support the CCP Now program and CTA services by providing high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced outpatient setting. This role focuses on the evaluation and treatment of patients with non-life-threatening cardiac symptoms, while assisting with diagnostic testing and ensuring a safe and efficient clinical experience.

Requirements

  • Current RN license, ACLS, and CPR, BSN required
  • Current, unrestricted PA Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  • BLS and ACLS required
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
  • 2 years of experience as an RN in Cardiology
  • Ability to multitask
  • Computer knowledge is a must

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with an EMR system is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Assist with and perform cardiac diagnostic testing, including EKGs, cardiac telemetry monitoring, blood work and advanced imaging as appropriate
  • Perform patient intake, including vital signs, medical history, consent, and patient education
  • Monitor patients throughout testing and respond appropriately to any emergent situations
  • Administer medications and IVs for diagnostic procedures
  • Interpret EKG rhythms and recognize arrhythmias
  • Evaluate and triage patients, including walk-ins requiring urgent attention
  • Provide clear patient and family education regarding treatment plans and follow-up care
  • Communicate test results and next steps per provider direction
  • Document all patient interactions accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR)
  • Maintain strict patient confidentiality at all times
  • Assist with clinical coordination, including triaging calls and responding to patient inquiries
  • Provide support across clinical areas and assist providers and staff as needed
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
