About The Position

This role is for a Registered Nurse at the Smithville Health Center's Rural Health Center in Smithville, Texas. The position is full-time, Monday through Friday from 8 am to 5 pm, and requires travel.

Requirements

BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing required.
Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing required OR a bachelors level degree not in nursing, an active RN License, and enrolled in an Alternate Entry Masters of Science in Nursing Program with a minimum of 1 year in the program completed.

Nice To Haves

Operating Room (OR) and Ascension clinic experience preferred.
Athena EHR software experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Deliver comprehensive patient care by executing evidence-based care plans, ensuring high clinical standards, and promoting optimal patient outcomes.
Monitor and communicate health changes in real time to ensure rapid intervention and continuous safety throughout the care journey.
Coordinate multi-disciplinary team efforts as the central liaison, creating a seamless, well-managed care experience for every patient.
Execute provider orders precisely to ensure timely treatment, accurate medication administration, and strict adherence to safety protocols.
Drive proactive discharge planning alongside the healthcare team to prepare patients and families for a smooth, safe transition home.
