Registered Nurse - Emergency Department
About The Position
The Registered Nurse provides compassionate patient care in the Emergency Department using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The role includes delegating, supervising, and documenting patient care and teaching for patients and their families; communicating pertinent information to the healthcare team; participating in solutions when patient goals are not met; and maintaining certifications and current clinical knowledge and best practices. The position is based at Henry Ford Medical Center – Sterling Heights, which has a 24/7 emergency department. The schedule is three 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with rotating weekends and holidays.
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
- Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing.
- Health care provider certification (BCLS).
Nice To Haves
- BSN preferred.
- Minimum 1+ years of clinical experience in an Emergency Department or Intensive Care Unit setting.
