About The Position
Franciscan Health Lafayette East Campus is hiring a Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive care to patients and their families. Nurses listen to and assess patients, develop plans of care, implement them, and reassess and evaluate each patient. The department has 10 operating rooms and handles a case mix that includes orthopedic and spine, vascular and open-heart, laparoscopic, robotic hysterectomy, and spinal fusion cases. The position is a 0.875 FTE day shift and requires 30 minutes of call. Travel is never or rarely required.
Requirements
- Associate's degree in Nursing/Patient Care.
- Registered Nurse (RN) license from the state licensing board in the state of practice.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing/Patient Care.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), if required by the unit.
- Franciscan Alliance unit-specific certifications, if required by the unit.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification from the American Heart Association, if required by the unit.
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification from the American Academy of Pediatrics, if required by the unit.
