About The Position

Registered Nurses (RNs) work alongside an interdisciplinary team to provide whole-person quality care to patients in need. Nurses are empowered by our shared governance model that includes nursing staff in the process of creating practice standards and expectations. Providence Mount St. Vincent’s Transitional Care Unit is an intermediate and high-acuity department that facilitates recovery from serious injury, illness, disease or medical condition. From the moment patients leave the hospital, we guide and care for their physical, emotional and spiritual needs before they’re able to return home, preparing them for the road ahead. Our Transitional Care Unit is an interdisciplinary haven for healthcare professionals interested in handling medical complexities (fractures, complex wound management, IV management, dialysis, oxygen therapy, TPN etc.) in a more comfortable and home-like setting for the patients.

Requirements

  • Education sufficient for licensure
  • Washington Registered Nurse License (Upon hire)
  • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association (Within 30 days of hire)

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's Degree Nursing
  • Food Handler's Permit
  • 1 year Med-Surg experience (Acute vs Sub-Acute)
  • Supervisory experience with nursing assistants/CNAs
