About The Position

We are hiring a Part Time RN for our Mission Farms Walk-In/Urgent Care Clinic! This position is part-time, 24 hours per week, with shifts from 6:45 AM - 7:15 PM on Saturdays and Sundays, and 7:45 AM - 5:15 PM every third weekend. The role involves providing professional nursing care in an urgent care clinic setting, following established standards and practices. Responsibilities include telephone triage, managing patient flow, coordinating patient care, scheduling emergent appointments, identifying patient and family learning needs, providing advice and recommendations, inserting intravenous access with medication administration, and performing other duties as assigned based on clinic needs. The RN will delegate tasks to clinical staff according to competencies and scope of practice, serve as a subject matter expert for patient education, assessment, interpretation, and documentation of patient care and testing. They will also enter admission orders as directed by a provider, manage expired samples, and work effectively both autonomously and in a team atmosphere. Excellent customer service and a professional demeanor are essential. The role may also involve covering Medical Assistant, LPN, or other office duties as needed.

Requirements

MO and KS RN license required
BLS required
Less than 1 year of applicable experience
Basic Life Support - American Heart Association or Red Cross
Registered Nurse - Various
Associate Degree

Responsibilities

Provides professional nursing care for clinic patients following established standards and practices.
Responsible for telephone triage, patient flow, and coordination of patient care.
Schedules emergent need patient appointments.
Identifies learning needs for patients and families, provide advice and recommendations.
Inserts intravenous access with medication administration.
Performs duties as assigned based on clinic need.
Delegates tasks to clinical staff in accordance with demonstrated competencies and consideration to Scope of Practice.
Subject matter expert for patient education, assessment, interpretation, and documentation of patient care and testing.
Enters admission orders as directed by provider.
Responsible for managing expired samples.
May be responsible for covering Medical Assistant job duties, LPN job duties, or other office duties as needed.
