About The Position
Individuals in this job classification are accountable for assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, and documenting care activities in accordance with OSUMC standards to deliver efficient, effective, and quality patient care. The Registered Nurse must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the ages of patients served on the assigned unit, including knowledge of growth and development across the life span and the ability to assess and interpret patient-status data to identify age-specific care requirements. The RN plans patient care, including developing, modifying, and implementing care plans in accordance with OSUMC standards and Patient Care policies and procedures. The RN is expected to follow the rules and regulations of the Oklahoma Nursing Practice Act.
Requirements
- Associate degree or diploma in nursing (two-year program).
- Current Oklahoma RN license.
- BLS certification.
- Less than one year of experience.
Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document patient care activities in accordance with OSUMC standards.
- Provide care appropriate to the ages and age-specific needs of patients on the assigned unit.
- Assess and interpret information reflecting patient status to identify care requirements.
- Develop, modify, and implement patient care plans in accordance with OSUMC standards and Patient Care policies and procedures.
- Follow the rules and regulations of the Oklahoma Nursing Practice Act.
