About The Position
MercyOne/Trinity Health Home Care in Mason City is seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse to provide individualized, high-quality nursing care to clients with acute, chronic, and complex conditions in their homes. The role supports patients’ independence and quality of life through personalized care and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Weekend rotation depends on the number of nurses employed; scheduled weekend on-call coverage is Saturday and Sunday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. There is no weekday or weekend evening call. The position offers a $10,000 sign-on bonus.
Requirements
- Graduate of an approved nursing education program.
- Current Registered Nurse licensure in the state of practice.
- At least one year of professional nursing experience.
- Strong computer and technology skills.
- Current driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to demonstrate commitment to the mission and Organizational Code of Ethics and adhere to the Compliance Program.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- Home healthcare experience.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and identify care needs.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.
- Administer medications and treatments, monitor patient responses, and adjust care as needed.
- Educate patients and families on disease management, medications, and wellness strategies.
- Monitor vital signs and manage chronic conditions with timely interventions.
- Accurately document care activities and maintain compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Coordinate care with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
- Provide emotional support and guidance to patients and their families.
- Participate in ongoing education and quality improvement initiatives.
