About The Position

The Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department provides quality, patient-centered care while considering patients’ age-specific, developmental, cultural, and spiritual needs. The role applies competent clinical practice and the nursing process, integrates relationship-based care, and serves as a clinical and educational resource to others on the unit. The Chelsea Emergency Department operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, and treats more than 18,000 patients annually. Its facilities include a five-bay observation center and 20 private exam rooms. This is a part-time, benefit-eligible position based at Chelsea Hospital in Chelsea, Michigan, working a 12-hour evening shift from 12 p.m. to 12 a.m. The schedule is 48 hours per pay period, every two weeks, with every-third-weekend and holiday rotation required.

Requirements

Current Michigan Nursing License.
Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
New hires must have a BSN degree or agree in writing to obtain a BSN within five years.
