About The Position

The Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department provides quality, patient-centered care while considering patients’ age-specific, developmental, cultural, and spiritual needs. The role uses competent clinical practice and the nursing process, integrates relationship-based care, and serves as a clinical and educational resource to others on the unit.

Chelsea Hospital’s Emergency Department provides care 365 days a year in a 24-hour department. Its experienced physicians and nurses treat more than 18,000 patients annually, from life-threatening emergencies to minor injuries. Facilities include a five-bay observation center and 20 private exam rooms.

This part-time, benefit-eligible position is based in Chelsea, Michigan, and is scheduled from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. The position works 48 hours per pay period, every two weeks, and requires every-third-weekend and holiday rotation.

Requirements

• Current Michigan nursing license.
• Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
• At least one year of nursing experience working in Emergency.
• New hires must have a BSN or agree in writing to obtain a BSN within five years.
