About The Position

The Registered Nurse in the ICU fulfills the needs of patients across a variety of age groups, their families, and the community by performing varied patient-care tasks and functions in accordance with licensure, certification, training, and regulatory requirements. The position is located at The Valley Hospital in Paramus and works night shifts.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
Current, valid New Jersey license or legal permission to work from the New Jersey Board of Nursing.
Computer and keyboard skills.
Medical terminology knowledge.
Critical care experience.
BLS certification.
ACLS certification.
Effective oral and written communication skills, including speech clarity and ability to understand information relayed.
Deductive and inductive reasoning skills.
Ability to work accurately, pay attention to details, and move between tasks without losing efficiency or composure.
Ability to function competently in stressful situations and changing work environments related to patients’ acute, chronic, complex, or terminal conditions.
Ability to perform the physical requirements of the role, including assisting patients and extensive movement; the position is classified as Very Heavy Work, with NIOSH lifting guidelines followed.
Manual and finger dexterity, hand-eye coordination, and constant talking and listening in English.
