About The Position
This position is for a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department, working 36 hours per week. The nurse is required to work every third weekend and meet holiday requirements. The nurse may be cross-trained to other departments within the facility and reports to the Director of Emergency Services. The position is eligible for a sign-on bonus.
Requirements
- Currently licensed to practice in the State of Ohio.
- Current BLS certification required.
- Three to five years of Emergency Room experience.
- Interpersonal and analytical skills necessary to function under current standards of nursing practice.
- Physically able to perform the functions of the position.
- ACLS certification required within six months of transition or hire.
- PALS certification required within one year of transition or hire.
- Hazmat training required.
- Cardiac arrhythmia interpretation course required within six months.
Nice To Haves
- BSN preferred.
- Previous critical care experience preferred.
- ACLS and PALS certifications preferred.
- TNCC certification encouraged.
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care in the Emergency Department in accordance with current standards of nursing practice.
- Work every third weekend and meet holiday requirements.
- Maintain all required qualifications for the assigned area.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
