About The Position

The Registered Nurse will work as an OR Circulator in a department with six operating-room suites and an average of 20 cases per day. Common cases include orthopedics, gynecology, robotics, urology, plastics, general surgery, and podiatry. The unit does not perform cardiac, major neurological, or major vascular cases. Nurses must be able to circulate most cases; circulating robotic cases is not required. Scrubbing is not required but is a plus.

The department has one Charge RN and two resource RNs or OR technicians, and reports nine full-time staff. The electronic medical record is Epic. Hospital-issued scrubs are provided. Unit-specific orientation is conducted by computer with an educator on the unit.

Candidates’ resumes are reviewed by the clinical team. If recommended for the unit, an account manager sends the candidate to the unit manager for a phone interview. The supplied notes state that a 1.75% Washington state tax is automatically deducted and can be added back.

Requirements

• BSN required.
• Ability to circulate most cases, except robotic cases.

Nice To Haves

• Scrubbing experience.
