Requirements

Active authorization to practice as a Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania
If possessing an active temporary practice permit, must obtain licensure as a Registered Nurse within one (1) year
Must be able to perform essential job functions
Satisfactory criminal history reports, including PA State Police and FBI clearance
Satisfactory completion of a medical examination and drug screening
Information to support eligibility must be provided on the application (i.e., relevant, detailed experience/education)
If claiming education, must attach a copy of college transcripts

Within 60 days of graduating from a school of nursing approved by the State Board of Nursing, you are eligible to apply

Responsibilities

Apply nursing process steps to maintain individual wellness in accordance with regulatory standards
Participate in planning and evaluating active treatment plans with interdisciplinary team members
Relay information to physicians and staff while assisting with examinations and medical interventions
Screen individuals for changes in condition, complete assessments, and report findings promptly
Perform required emergency procedures and ensure the safety of individuals during urgent situations
Complete nursing documentation, follow physician orders, and maintain timely and accurate records
