This exciting opportunity is for a Per Diem Registered Nurse to join the NYU Langone Dialysis Center in Mineola, specializing in Outpatient Dialysis with evening shifts. The successful candidate will practice in accordance with the American Nurses Association's (ANA) scope and standards of nursing practice, utilizing clinical expertise to plan and deliver safe, therapeutic, and population-specific patient care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Patient and family-centered care is paramount, incorporating their unique characteristics and needs. Collaboration within a multidisciplinary healthcare team is essential to promote wellness and optimize patient outcomes. This role also involves leadership through orienting, mentoring, and managing team members to ensure compassionate, dignified, respectful, and efficient care delivery. Participation in performance improvement initiatives that impact patient, family, and service outcomes is also expected.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing required for employees hired after 9/1/2020 (those who were hired prior to 9/1/2020 are grandfathered).
  • Current and valid New York State Registered Professional Nurse license.
  • Current and valid BLS certification.
  • Knowledge of standards of practice for all areas of patient care.
  • Excellent communication (oral and written), organizational, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.
