REGISTERED NURSE - ECB - Emergency Call Basis
About The Position
The Emergency Call Basis (ECB) ICU Registered Nurse works on an as-needed basis, primarily Monday through Friday, with the possibility of occasional Saturdays. The role requires a minimum of 24 hours per month and one summer and one winter holiday shift, which may be Saturday or Sunday days or nights. This safety-sensitive inpatient nursing position delivers personalized, comprehensive patient care through the nursing process, combining therapeutic use of self, technology, and collaboration with patients, families, and healthcare professionals. The nurse is accountable for providing leadership to non-licensed staff by prescribing, delegating, and coordinating medical-surgical nursing care to support optimal patient outcomes. The nurse must demonstrate competency in current nursing practices relevant to the unit and patient age groups.
Requirements
- Current Oklahoma or multi-state registered nurse license.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Complete Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification within 60 days of hire; ACLS classes are offered at OSH after hire.
- Competency in current nursing practices specific to the unit and patient age groups.
- No prior experience is required.
