About The Position
Sentara is currently hiring a Registered Nurse to work at Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital on the Surgery Unit 4 East. Multiple Shifts including Part-Time Nights, Full-Time Nights, and Full-Time Days. This position offers a generous sign-on bonus of up to 15K and a moving allowance for qualified candidates. New grads are welcome and receive a $7500 sign-on bonus. The unit is known for its great teamwork and provides quality care to adult medical/surgical patients who are acutely ill or injured. The 19-bed unit specializes in post-operative surgical patient care with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5/6. The unit is a diverse learning environment, welcoming to new grads and offering opportunities to broaden skill sets and grow in their careers. As a Registered Nurse with Sentara, there are promotional opportunities into leadership or to advance care levels in various settings. Primary duties include assessing/admitting patients, rounding checks, giving medications, talking with family members, and being responsible for the overall care of patients. Teamwork is exceptional, with everyone working together to ensure the best care for patients.
Requirements
- Virginia or Compact Multi-State License in good standing
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- RN-Diploma, ASN, BSN or MSN from an accredited school
