The Registered Nurse applies the nursing process to plan and manage care for complex patients, coordinates care delivery, evaluates patient progress, and collaborates with the healthcare team to ensure a comprehensive continuum of care. The role includes patient and family education, effective communication and conflict resolution, evidence-based care, monitoring outcomes, and ongoing professional learning. Nurses may float across entities to meet staffing needs. This is a temporary, full-time 13–26-week assignment through Vanderbilt’s Staffing Collaborative in the Pulmonary ICU (8A) at Vanderbilt University Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee. The nurse must be comfortable and willing to float to Stepdown. RNs typically work 36–40 hours per week based on unit needs, covering shifts most needed by the unit. Assignments may require weekends and holidays. Shift options are day (7 a.m.–7 p.m.) at $65 per hour or night (7 p.m.–7 a.m.) at $75 per hour. Medical insurance benefits are available through Temp Force; optional health benefits are noted for the assignment.
