About The Position

The Registered Nurse assists the physician in the care and teaching of patients. The role is based at the Tampa Cancer Center Office and requires a nurse licensed in the state of residence with IV therapy experience. The RN must assess patient needs and condition, think critically, and respond calmly and effectively in emergencies. Current CPR certification is required, and BLS must be in place upon hire or obtained within 30 days; FCS provides a BLS course during that period. The position also requires English fluency, strong oral and written communication, and a valid driver license for travel to clinics. Hematology/oncology experience in a clinic or hospital is preferred. Employment offers are contingent on satisfactory background screening. New hires must receive required vaccinations, including influenza unless an exemption is approved, and undergo drug testing. FCS is a drug-free workplace and does not recognize medical marijuana cards.

Requirements

Registered Nurse licensed in the state of residence.
Experience in IV therapy.
Ability to assess patient needs and condition.
Strong critical thinking skills and ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
Current CPR certification.
BLS required upon hire or must be obtained within 30 days of employment; FCS will provide a BLS course within the first 30 days.
Fluency in English with excellent oral and written communication skills.
Valid driver license for travel to clinics.
