About The Position

Harborview Medical Center is seeking experienced Registered Nurses for its Intensive Care Units (ICUs). This is a 90% FTE (36 hours per week) Night Shift position. Harborview ICUs have received the Beacon Award for Critical Care Excellence and Magnet recognition from the ANCC. Several ICU units have openings, including the Cardiac ICU/Mixed ICU (2EH), and the Burn and Pediatric Trauma ICU (9EH). The Critical Care Float Pool also has openings, requiring 3+ years of ICU RN experience. The float pool RNs may work across various ICUs, the Emergency Department, Post-Anesthesia Care Unit, and other acute care areas as needed.

Requirements

  • Requires min. 1-2 years ICU RN work experience.
  • Critical care float pool positions require 3+ years ICU RN work experience.

  • $4/hour week-ends

Responsibilities

  • Provide critical care management to patients in various ICU settings.
  • Care for critically ill patients with conditions including cardiac disease, multi-system organ failure, gastrointestinal disease, blood infections/sepsis, cancer, lung disease, kidney disease, liver disease, multi-system traumatic injuries, respiratory, thoracic, vascular, neurologic, and orthopedic issues.
  • Manage patients with complex neurological deficits and injuries, including severe head and spinal cord injury, and diseases/disorders of the brain, spine, and peripheral nerves.
  • Provide care for adult burn patients and pediatric burn and trauma patients.
  • Float among ICUs, ED, PACU, and border areas as a Critical Care Float Pool RN.
