The HSA (Health Services Administrator) is responsible for leadership, direction, management, and evaluation of all operations for designated site with a direct reporting relationship to the Regional Director of Nursing. He/she is responsible for ensuring all operations are following contract requirements, QCHC policies & procedures, and nursing standards of care. This role involves formulating staffing patterns, ensuring compliance with QCHC manuals and policies, interviewing and hiring new staff, coordinating new employee orientation, assessing clinical skills, and ensuring all nursing activities adhere to required standards and regulations. The HSA also fosters cooperation with jail staff, conducts staff meetings, completes performance evaluations, assists with payroll review, identifies clinical outcomes goals, works closely with physicians and clinical staff for continuity of care, performs inmate care, assists with pharmacy utilization reviews, and evaluates various programs. Additionally, the HSA ensures participation in CQI activities, develops nursing policies and procedures, assists with budgetary planning, identifies equipment needs, formulates reports, attends mandatory meetings, and performs other job-related duties as assigned.
