About The Position

Lake Behavioral Hospital is seeking a motivated, dependable, and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to provide exceptional direct care and support to patients. The Registered Nurse assesses, coordinates, and evaluates patient care through collaborative efforts with health team members in accordance with the nursing process and the standards of care and practices. This role actively engages in the health care team, offering direct and indirect care to patients, families, and legal guardians. The RN will continuously assess patients' physical and psychological conditions throughout their care journey, utilizing the nursing process in alignment with the philosophy, objectives, values, mission, and core principles of LBH. A safe therapeutic environment grounded in core values is essential. The RN will collaborate as an integral member of the multidisciplinary treatment team, actively contributing to the development, implementation, and documentation of tailored goals and interventions based on patient strengths and psychiatric challenges.

Requirements

  • Graduate from an accredited professional nursing program required.
  • Valid Illinois State RN license.
  • At least three years experience in a psychiatric healthcare facility.
  • Demonstrate exceptional crisis management and time management skills.
  • Flexibility and creativity with a proven ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Calm, organized, and professional demeanor even in stressful situations.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
