About The Position

InterHealth Staffing, the for-profit staffing division of Tampa General Hospital, is offering a 13-week seasonal assignment on the Med/Surg Float Team, with competitive base pay and potential contract extensions based on unit needs. The assignment provides an opportunity to experience Tampa General Hospital and may offer the potential to transition to a permanent role. Seasonal applicants must have at least two years of experience in the specific division and be competent to work independently.

Under the general supervision of the Nurse Manager or designee, the Registered Nurse follows established policies, procedures, and professional guidelines to deliver nursing care to patients across the lifespan, from neonatal through geriatric. The nurse provides professional care in areas covered by the Specialty Staffing Team within the assigned clinical division and performs duties in accordance with Tampa General Hospital’s mission, vision, and values.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of Florida.
• BSN required.
• BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association required.
• Minimum of two years of experience in the relevant Critical Care Division.
• Seasonal applicants must have at least two years of experience within the specific division being hired into and be deemed competent to work independently.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement nursing care.
• Document nursing assessments.
• Identify and report situations requiring further intervention.
• Formulate and communicate a goal-directed plan of care.
• Assure patient rights.
• Provide professional nursing care to patients in areas covered by the Specialty Staffing Team within the assigned clinical division.
